Mr. Gideon Ben- Zvi brings to Aviv Venture Capital sixteen years of experience in entrepreneurship. Gideon founded and co-founded four companies, two of which he led up to exit events. The other two continue to operate and progress.
Prior to joining Aviv Gideon was in the process of starting an investment activity www.gbztech.com, focusing on consumer technologies.

In 1989 Gideon founded Ligature an OCR company that led the fax-OCR market and delivered the only OCR-on-a-Chip. Gideon, as CEO, led the sale of Ligature delivered to its’ investors returns of 4X-8X in 4.5 years and a single financing round.
In 1995 Mr. Ben- Zvi led the integration of Ligature as the technology foundation of Wizcom Technologies. Gideon served as Executive VP of the integrated company. In 1999 Wizcom went public and is traded in Duetche Burse (WZM). Wizcom investors saw 12X-24X returns after the IPO.
In 2001 Gideon co-founded HumanEyes Technologies, a 3D photography company based on inventions of three scientists, He raised $10 million in two rounds and served as CEO until 2006. The company serves to the graphic arts markets and is growing in revenues.
In 2003 Gideon helped found ASOCS, was its first angel investor and Chairman. The Company develops a multi-com chip and has a partnership with Fujitsu Japan.
In 2008 Gideon cofounded BriefCam and acts as its active Chairman and President. The company develops and commercializes technology that enables to watch 24 hours of video in minutes and revolutionize the whole use of video surveillance.
Gideon holds MBA and BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from Hebrew University Jerusalem.
Gideon is a Board member of: Wizcom (Chairman), BriefCam (Active Chairman) and HumanEyes.
On the philanthropy side, Gideon is active in many Jerusalem oriented activity, he was the chairman of Start-Up Jerusalem, cofounded Jerusalem dot com and is a board member of Jerusalem Studio School, a prestigious art school led by the world recognized artist Israel Hershberg.
Gideon served in the Combat Engineers of Israel's Defense Forces where he has reached a rank of Major.
